How do we increase the engagement of our new employees? With high numbers of new employees comes turnover of employees. Our competitors are looking for new employees as well and our managers invest a lot of time and energy in onboarding new employees. We would like to reduce our turnover and reduce the time new employees need to be productive.
A network of nationwide offices which are quite autonomous. Two different branches within the company. A mindset that focused on getting the job done instead of being distinctive.
We knew we had to focus on three things: new employee engagement, reducing time to get new employees productive and focusing on distinctiveness.
We designed an onboarding with a lot of storytelling, gamification, lots of very practical challenges, learning through online courses and tasks with their managers. We learned them to ask a different kind of question, to explain their added value and to develop sustainable relations with both customers and temps.
We designed the program in such a way it prepared the participants for their day to day job and for future other business endeavors.
